ESKA Championships, Poland 2005

European Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) Championships

Wroclaw, Poland

26/27 November 2005

The KUGB Squads performed exceptionally well at the recent ESKA Championships in Wrocslaw, Poland.

Following hard on the heels of its outstanding performance in the World Championships in Chicago, the England team again took two golds - this time in the Junior Ladies Team and Individual events. Tara Cummings, Caroline McGrath and Holly Sterling dominated the individual Kumite event with all three of them fighting their way through to the final four. Caroline came out on top taking gold after defeating Tara in the finals with Holly claiming joint third place. The same trio beat all before them to win the Junior Ladies Team Kumite event, defeating Poland in the final. The Squad took many silver and bronze medals as listed below.

The Welsh cadets Male Kumite Team competed very well to take bronze in their event.

Congratulations to you all.
