England in particular performed remarkably well winning the Senior Male Team Kumite event for the third consecutive year with Joseph Rawcliffe, Ryan Tucker, Jonathan McGorian, Ethan Armstrong, Cameron Graham and Connor Wilson beating their opponents Italy, decisively by four wins to one in the final; a great achievement.

England's Joseph Rawcliffe and Ethan Armstrong together with Rhianne Rawcliffe and Rebecca Rawcliffe also fought tremendously well in the individual Kumite events producing many outstanding scoring techniques. They met each other in the finals; the first time that this has happened and they fought each other with great vigour.

In the end, it was Ethan and Rebecca came out on top in what proved to be exceptional matches which were very much appreciated by their fellow competitors and audience alike.
