The KUGB's Senior England Men's Kumite Team won a tremendous victory by taking first place at the WSKA World Championships last weekend.

The team, consisting of Mathew Price, Michael Davison, John Bruce, Christopher Cray and Antony Duffy, defeated many strong teams, including Spain and Sweden, before meeting the very tall members of the Russian team in the semi-finals. In a hard fought match, England defeated the Russians 3 - 2 to go through to the finals against the USA. The final match was very intense with every contest being decided by a full Ippon. England defeated the Americans 3 - 2 to take the title.

Many congratulations to you all and to the other members of the KUGB Squads of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland who represented the KUGB so well.
