Grand Slam - Saturday 23rd February 2008

The KUGB's First Grand Slam of the year took place in Chesterfield last weekend. The competition saw record numbers of Squad members attending from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, with over 160 competitors.

The event consisted of training followed by a competition for Teams and Individual Kata and Kumite contestants.

The atmosphere was very exciting with many terrific matches and some spectacular Ippons scored.

The event is designed to give the Squad members experience under the European Shotokan Karate Association rules.
