____________________________________________________________

For our series of Dan Gradings we are led by Government guidelines for COVID-19 and therefore candidates will need to comply with the following process and protocols.

Candidates who wish to take their Dan Grade must apply and pay online at least seven days prior to the Grading. Spaces will be limited and available on a first come - first served basis.

Please log in to your kugb.me account to register. Look for "Grading Instructions" and follow the steps.

Due to time constraints at the venues, there will be a maximum limit of spaces available at each venue, however we will always do our best to accommodate everyone. To help us, please ask your grading candidates to register at least seven days before the grading.

With the online registration, payment and Dan Grading Permission granted, the Regional Officer will receive a list of eligible candidates for the day. At least three days prior to the Grading, the Regional Officer will email the candidates with their arrival time. Once the grading is complete, they will be informed immediately of their result and leave the Dojo.

Please note the following:

Masks should be worn on entry and exit to the premises.

Changing facilities are not available in many of the venues so candidates must arrive in their Gi.

Upon arrival candidates will need to give to the Regional Officer their up-to-date KUGB Grading & Licence book and completed Grading form. Candidates must have completed your Grading Form and glued their photo form prior to arrival to minimise any handling of documents by the Regional Officer.

The Regional Officer will then show them to the warm-up area. Masks can then be removed but social distance must be observed whilst warming up.

When it is time for their Grading the Regional Officer will then show them to the Grading area.

During the grading wearing “trainers” is optional, not essential.

A mask is not necessary for the Grading, however we suggest candidates wear a mask for kumite. If they wish to wear a mask it should be of the lightweight paper variety. Mitts and gumshields are not essential.

As you are aware the Dan Grading syllabus has been adapted in accordance with Covid rules and NO CONTACT should be made at any time.

KUMITE CRITERIA FOR THOSE TAKING THE FOLLOWING GRADES

It is unlikely that anyone other than the candidates taking their Dan Grading will be allowed into the venue/Grading. Club instructors will be accommodated if and where possible for the 1st and 2nd Dan Gradings only. However, this will be venue specific based on local restrictions and will be communicated through your Regional officers in the build-up to the event.
