The KUGB Teams of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales travelled to San Fernando in the heart of the Bay of Cádiz, Spain, a city that has a rich historical background that spans centuries. It was a return to the Sports Centre, Bahia Sur, for the 36th ESKA European Karate-do Championships.
Teams arrived a few days ahead of the three-day event to prepare for a busy weekend of Kata & Kumite which started on Friday with the Cadet Categories (16-17 year olds). On the Saturday it was then the turn of the Juniors (18-20 years) and Youths (aged 14-15 years), culminating in the final day of the Competition, the Senior events (21+).
As we reflect on the triumphs and camaraderie of the 36th ESKA European Championships, our focus immediately shifts towards ESKA 2024 which will take place in Gondomar, Portugal in November.
Thank you to our Teams, our Coaches and Support Staff for their dedication. Congratulations to our Teams on their results.
