Following extensive discussion with Sport England, DCMS and KUGB Medical Advisors, the KUGB Guidelines are as follows:-
Under 18’s
There are no restrictions on Under 18 training. They do not have to remain socially distant and can therefore make contact in kumite. Pad work is also allowed.
There are no restrictions on class size where the class is Under 18’s only – however, your venue/local authority may give you different restrictions and you should abide by these.
Temperature checks are not essential.
Students do not have to wear trainers.
No Kiai at any time.
We have received medical advice from two KUGB Doctors who recommend that all participants should wear light-weight masks for Kumite only, therefore masks are recommended but not mandatory. Children under 11 do not have to wear a mask unless they or a guardian prefers them to wear one.
Please check with your venue as many ask for masks to be worn by everyone on entry and exit from the Dojo and in any communal areas.
Adults
From 17th May Adults can attend indoor classes but social distancing protocols must remain in place. The rule of 6 still applies before and after class.
The number of participants in each class varies depending upon size of the Dojo/airflow etc so you must check with your venue as they may have different restrictions especially if your class is a mixture of adults and children.

Spectators
If you allow Spectators in your Dojo they must wear a mask at all times and remain socially distant. You may find that the number of spectators impacts on how many students you can have in the Dojo so please check with your venue.
