The Central Region Championships were held in Cannock on Saturday, bringing together competitors from clubs across the region for a day of strong KUGB karate. The championships featured a good standard of performance in both kata and kumite, with competitors demonstrating determination, discipline, and respect throughout the event.
Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan) presented the Kata & Kumite Shields to Sensei Greg Hegarty of Solihull Karate Academy for the 6th year in a row.
Our thanks go to the referees, judges, timekeepers and recorders whose hard work ensured the smooth running of the championships. Thank you also to the organisers and a special thank you also to all the competitors who represented their clubs with pride and contributed to another successful regional event.
