The Southern Region Championships were held at the Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading on Saturday, bringing together competitors from clubs across the region for a day of strong KUGB karate. The championships featured a good standard of performance in both kata and kumite, with competitors demonstrating determination, discipline, and respect throughout the event. The event was overseen by Chief Referee Sensei Jim Brennan (8th Dan), whose experience ensured the high standards expected of KUGB competition.
Our thanks go to the referees, judges, timekeepers, and recorders whose hard work ensured the smooth running of the championships. We also thank the organisers, and of course all the competitors who represented their clubs with pride and contributed to another successful regional event.
