Barnsley Special Dan Grade Course & Grading
26th April 2026
The KUGB Special Dan Grade Course took place on Sunday 26th April 2026 at Hoyland Leisure Centre, Barnsley, bringing together Dan grades from across the organisation for a day of high-quality training and senior Dan gradings.
The course was led by Sensei Billy Higgins (8th Dan), Sensei Frank Brennan (8th Dan) and Sensei Garry Harford (8th Dan), who delivered an excellent morning training session before overseeing the afternoon Dan gradings for candidates attempting 3rd Dan and above. The event was open to all KUGB Dan grades, providing an opportunity for members to train under some of the KUGB’s most senior instructors.
Congratulations to everyone who successfully achieved their new Dan grade. Your dedication, perseverance and hard work have been rewarded and we wish you every success as you continue your karate journey.
