New Kyu Grading Examiners – C Licence

Grading Examiners play a crucial role in upholding the technical excellence, discipline, and integrity that define the KUGB.  As custodians of our grading syllabus, they ensure that every student is assessed fairly, consistently, and in line with the high standards we are so proud of. Their work not only safeguards the quality of KUGB Karate across the country but also supports the long-term development of our members, clubs, and regions.

Earlier this year, we welcomed three new B Licence Examiners and we are now pleased to announce the appointment of the following KUGB C Licence Examiners, who are authorised to grade KUGB members up to and including 8th Kyu.

Jill Kelly – 7th Dan
David Graham – 7th Dan
Phillip Gandy – 7th Dan
Trevor Jarrett – 6th Dan
Patricia Bruce – 6th Dan
Richard Naylor-Jones – 6th Dan

On Sunday 3rd August we held a Kyu Grade Examiner Course at Lancaster University – two hours packed with practical and theoretical insight, expertly delivered by Sensei Frank Brennan. This was a fantastic opportunity for our team of Examiners to continue developing their knowledge and standards.

Congratulations to everyone on your appointment – and thank you for your continued dedication to the art and to the KUGB.
