Sensei Kevin O’Neill

on 23rd May 2022 I passed my 6th Dan examination under the expert assessment of Sensei Frank Brennan 8th Dan, Sensei Billy Higgins 8th Dan and Sensei Jimmy Brennan 8th Dan.

I joined the KUGB in 1976 when I was 17 years of age.I passed my first Dan in 1982 under Sensei Enoeda at Crystal Palace.

I focused most of my energies on KUMITE and fought in competition until I was forty years of age.

Lacking flexibility and good kicking techniques I focused on punching.

I managed to get beaten up all over the world representing Bargoed SKC and KUGBWALES managing a few notable individual and team successes along the way.

Qualified Instructor/ Assessor.

Qualified KUGB Referee and Judge.

Welsh Individual KUMITE Champion (3), British Individual KUMITE Finalist(4), British Inter-Regional Champion, Welsh Individual All Styles Team KUMITE And Individual KUMITE Champion, Bargoed SKC British Team KUMITE finalist (3), British Police Team
KUMITE Champions And Individual Bronze medalist, European Team KUMITE Bronze Medalist KUGBWALES, Individual 4th Place Senior KUMITE KUGBWALES European Championships.

KUGB WALES Welsh Coach from 2000 to present day with numerous team and Individual medals at European and World Championships.
