Grand Slam Results – 28th February 2004

This event took place at Queen’s Park Leisure Centre in Chesterfield and was extremely well attended by competitors and spectators, despite the poor weather conditions.
The KUGB organises two Grand Slam events every year to provide an opportunity for the English, Welsh and Scottish Squads to compete against each other under international rules. A squad from Ireland was also invited to attend.
These rules are fundamentally the same as those used throughout the KUGB but there are small differences which the competitors need to be familiar with.
The event allows the top competitors of each country to meet and push each other to the limit which results in many exiting and inspiring bouts. All squads performed very well and the quality of competition was of an extremely high calibre at both senior and junior level.
